I am a computer scientist, music composer, and origami designer living in rural upstate New York. I’m currently working as an independent contractor on projects related to AI. My current research areas include artificial intelligence, programming languages, computational linguistics, and generative models for music. I have previously done work in bioinformatics and geoinformatics, working with DNA and seismic data respectively.
I regularly compose music, both with and without the aid of algorithms, and I always have some creative project or another going. I have released three albums on BandCamp and published two origami books.
On the side, I am a long-time aquarist, keeping snails, hermit crabs, sea anemones, and corals. More recently, I also started keeping chickens and trying to become more self-sufficient in various aspects of life.
